What happens after I submit a contact form?
A member of our team contacts you within hours, usually the same day. The first call is a brief conversation to understand what happened, when it happened, and what kind of help you’re looking for. There is no cost and no obligation.
Do I need to bring anything to the first meeting?
Nothing is required. If you have them, the police report number, photos from the scene, medical records or discharge paperwork, and any insurance correspondence speed up the conversation — but we can get all of this later.
Will the conversation be confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality begins from your first inquiry under NY RPC 1.18 (prospective client) and continues whether or not we end up representing you.
Can we meet outside our 40 Wall Street office?
Yes. If an injury makes travel difficult, we meet you at a hospital, rehab facility, or your home anywhere in the five boroughs.
How quickly do I need to call after an accident?
Sooner is better. Evidence, witnesses, and surveillance video disappear fast. Some claims have very short deadlines — Notice of Claim against the City, MTA, or NYCHA must be filed within 90 days under GML §50-e.
