About Jordan
Jordan Sakni joined Bob Amirian at Amparo Law Firm PLLC in 2026 as Chief Operating Officer, after a decade across two industries the firm sits between: the insurance industry that funds the defense in every PI and construction case, and the development industry that owns and runs the projects where those cases originate.
He earned his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Emory University before completing his M.S. in Real Estate Development at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. He then served as Chief Economist at the New York State Department of Financial Services — the agency that regulates every insurance carrier doing business in New York. He left state government to become a principal at Simba Property Group, a New York City real estate development and private equity firm, where he runs ground-up development and acquisitions across Manhattan and the outer boroughs. In 2025 he began the J.D. program at Touro Law Center, with an expected bar admission date of 2028.
Expertise
A plaintiff’s PI and construction practice sits between two industries: the carriers that fund the defense, and the developers and contractors that own and run the projects. Most plaintiff’s firms read those industries from the outside. Jordan has worked inside both.
As Chief Economist at the New York State Department of Financial Services, he served inside the agency that regulates every insurance carrier doing business in New York — the same carriers that fund the defense in every case we file. He knows how that industry is structured, how it thinks about exposure, and how the financial machinery behind a settlement actually works.
He has also spent the last decade as a New York real estate developer — reading construction GC contracts, negotiating safety budgets with subcontractors, sitting in OAC meetings while project schedules slipped, and watching the upstream pressures that produce the downstream injuries. Most plaintiff’s firms read the post-injury record after the fact. Jordan reads the project the way the people who built it read it — before the case file is opened.
Two industries across the table from every PI and construction case we bring. One person at our table who has worked inside both. That is the second cylinder of how Amparo is built.
